From the President

Hello All!!!

The summer is rapidly coming to an end and we’re heading into fall with a great line up of speakers. Please be sure to mark your calendars with the dates in the “Next Meeting" section of this newsletter.  Most notably, in October, we have a speaker, Ian Woodall, who is one of a select few who have climbed the world’s highest mountain, Mt Everest, from both the North and South sides. In his motivational presentation, The Tao of Everest, Ianuses the power of emotional storytelling to introduce and reinforce the principals of personal inspiration and practical leadership.  This is sure to an inspiring presentation.

In addition, in September (the 10th)  we’ll have a ½ seminar on "Auditing IT Outsourced Environments".  This meeting will begin as a regular meeting with breakfast and continue on into early afternoon with lunch being served.  This is a great opportunity for 4-5 CPE for $50.

Our meeting for this month will be on Wed August 13 from 7:30am to 9:00am and the presenter is one of our own members, Chris Funke from Harrahs.  Please RSVP by Tues August 12th to secure your reservation.

One last note, The ACL User Group is offering 2 classes.  There are currently 4 seats open for the ACL 202 class (Basics) scheduled on

9/8-9/2008. Cost is $700, includes lunch and is 16 CPE hours.  It will be held at St. Jude.

The 303 class (advanced) is $900 a person scheduled for 9/10-12/2008 at Baptist Corporate offices. This includes lunch and is 25 CPE hours.  There are 10 seats open.

There are no refunds, but you are allowed to substitute someone in your place if you cannot attend.

Please contact Vickie Luckey at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  if you would like to attend or to get more information.

If you are in need of CPE please be sure to review the “Need CPE Opportunities" at the bottom of this email.

We do not have a speaker lined up for December.  If you know anyone who might be interested or if you yourself would be interested in speaking we welcome the opportunity to learn.   Remember you do get CPE for presenting.  Also, if you have ideas for meeting topics please feel free to contact me with your ideas.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and hope to see you there!
